وَأَنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا الْأُولَىٰ (50) (النجم) هُمْ قَوْم هُود وَيُقَال لَهُمْ عَادَ بْن إِرَم بْن سَام بْن نُوح كَمَا قَالَ تَعَالَى " أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْف فَعَلَ رَبّك بِعَادٍ إِرَم ذَات الْعِمَاد الَّتِي لَمْ يُخْلَق مِثْلهَا فِي الْبِلَاد " فَكَانُوا مِنْ أَشَدّ النَّاس وَأَقْوَاهُمْ وَأَعْتَاهُمْ عَلَى اللَّه تَعَالَى وَعَلَى رَسُوله فَأَهْلَكَهُمْ اللَّه " بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرَ عَاتِيَة سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْع لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَّةَ أَيَّام حُسُومًا " أَيْ مُتَتَابِعَة . http://www.7wwa.com/quran/t-53-1-50.html
